sometimes i put my mouth in overdrive but my mind is stuck in the mud words come out that i should not say and my mind is stuck in the mud i wish i had two cents to shut up but i said much too much i could have chose to keep it closed but i said too much every night when i try to sleep and i can't the headlights coming back at me in a hypnagogic dream i threw you under the bus driver tries it forward and reverse and the bus is stuck in the mud the diesel smoke fighting with the rain as the guilt overruns my brain i'm thinking about the mess i made and the trust that i betrayed i tell myself again and again i should have taken the train every night when i try to sleep and i can't the headlights coming back at me in a hypnagogic dream i threw you under the bus under the bus

The sun had slipped too early from the sky that day We felt the light would never come again and we prayed We waited in the darkness and the cold and the rain Then the morning came The Son of the Sun The Son of the Sun In time we had to wake up to a new day At peace we are accepting of the change Now we are receiving the warmth of the Sun The loving the leaving and returning of the Son The Son of the Sun The Son of the Sun Now we are receiving the warmth of the Son
